Our Mission

At Moonrocket, we believe in encouraging every girl to dream big, reach for the stars, and explore the endless possibilities that the universe holds. With this vision in mind, we're committed to inspiring the next generation of women in space.

It all started when our founder, a father of two STEM-loving daughters and an executive in the space industry, became increasingly disheartened by the significant shortage of women in space-related careers.

Historically, women have been largely underrepresented in the field of space exploration. As of now, only 11% of astronauts have been women, and the space industry is currently made up of fewer than 20% women. This disparity is due in part because for generations, girls have not been encouraged to be a part of our space-faring future. From the earliest ages, boys are surrounded by themes of trucks, dinosaurs, science, and space, while girls are often limited to rainbows, unicorns, play kitchens, and crafting. It's time to change that narrative.

Even the most significant change begins with a spark of inspiration. An idea in a child’s mind can come from the simplest of things, including the objects and art that surround her. Our high-quality prints help girls to see themselves represented as astronauts, rocket scientists, and space engineers. We aim to ignite their curiosity to embark on their own space adventures, especially as we enter a new era of human exploration.

In 2024, NASA's Artemis II mission will include a female astronaut who will travel farther into space than any human ever before. In 2025, as part of NASA's Artemis III mission, the first woman will set foot on the moon.

At Moonrocket, we want to mark these milestones and inspire girls everywhere to explore, discover, and conquer new frontiers. Space should be a realm that’s accessible to all, regardless of gender. Together, let's encourage the next generation of girls to shoot for the moon, and beyond.
